The Emergent Multi-Sport Short is made with a high end polyester-spandex blend that provides a soft touch, mechanical stretch and athletic fit. Inside is a super stretch compression band that stores items close to the body. This allows athletes to move freely while keeping pocketed items stable. Pocket placement was engineer tested, providing the optimal placement for ease of use, and range of motion. All fabric components are moisture wicking, mildew resistant and our e-pocket is sweat resistant. With a secure water resistant zipper and durably stitched seams you can do just about anything and items won't fall out. The design is finished with a sublimated side panel.
Patent Pending Compression
Emergent was founded with one mission in mind – enabling the athlete in each of us to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. Our first product begins with a humble step in this direction - premium athletic shorts that allow you to securely store your essentials. We live our mission everyday by contributing to the local community, organizing health related events, and designing products that directly benefit your needs.
Emergent is working with apparel design professionals, engineers and a variety of other Chicago talent for a Kickstarter launch 2017.
Ready for your next Adventure
Wherever on the go takes you, Emergent shorts will keep you comfortable and your items safe.
Design inspired by Chicago Athletes
"As a recent graduate, starting up a company was a challenging journey. With a limited budget, bootstrapped from personal funds, family and friends I had to be resourceful. Through diligence and research, I gathered a best in class team of design and creative talent to launch Emergent. Being a sport enthusiast, there is something beyond competitiveness that motivates me. It is a conviction to pursue goals far beyond what is perceived as possible or achievable. Standing at 5’9”, I never let my height hinder my athletic ambitions especially with basketball. I may not be in the NBA, but I'll never pass up a game. These personal beliefs are core to my company’s mission. I want to inspire individuals to challenge themselves beyond their expectations and encourage an active lifestyle."

Giving Back Through Charitable Events
Emergent is “All In”. We encourage everyone to live their personal best in a way that inspires others to do the same. To take this philosophy into action we support health and wellness causes that benefit those that need us most, especially our youth. We are committed to preserving the health and wellness of our communities by giving back. Even before our product launch we’ve organized events to give back: The Power of Play Charity Basketball Tournament and Youth Shine Event.
Power of Play Charity Tournament
Held on May 2016 our tournament's proceeds supported Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago and Right to Play. The event hosted over 200 attendees and a performance by the Chicago Luvabulls.
Youth Shine Volleyball
Emergent brought a team of youth volleyball players, Grades 6-8th, to a Collegiate basketball game at Loyola University Chicago. The youth enjoyed the play of top-tier teams fight it out in a game, the kids played on the court postgame, received autographs and prizes. This was a means to have youth continue to dream big. That championship players are just outside their zipcode.
